Update 3/1/2021

On the week of the 19th, I offered to provide storyboards for the montage where Piper builds their raft and tries to overcome their fear of water.(See around 00:00:57:10) Then I storyboarded the scene where Piper arrives in the underwater city. (See 00:02:28:00) Was happy to see my storyboards in the animatic, which included music added by Isa. When our mentor, Sandra, saw the animatic, she recommended that we add additional sound effects like ocean waves and seagulls. I was quick to look these up on YouTube and submit them in the chat. When we showed the animatic to Paul and Howard on the 22nd of February, they liked what we showed, but had some suggestions to change the story, including adding dialogue. However, we still want to try and tell the story, visually.

On Friday the 26th, we had another story meeting, and on the 1st of March, We had a meeting that focused more on developing the visuals. At the end of this meeting I offered to do the character designs for Piper. From this point I will be more involved in the visuals than the story, but I may also do some more storyboards in the future. I cannot wait to make more progress on our short.
