Since my previous review, I continued polishing the animation for my scenes and adding music notes to some of the others. In the Shot 3 of Carried Away, the group felt that Melody was too cross-eyed when she watched the music note pop on her nose, so I changed it so that her irises were easier to see. I also changed the movement of her tail as she turned to look at the note. Originally, the shot ended with Melody giving a sad look as she leaves the island, but then Angelica said that she should have a more determined look, since she accepts that her adventure has begun.
For the Fade In Shot of the Storm scene, I added a little more movement to Melody as she notices the storm and stands up. I have also been asked to create a wide shot of Melody on the raft at sea to be added before this shot I was animating.
I continued to animate the music notes for the ocean, where I started on the lines for Shot 3, and completed the lines and notes for Shot 4. Admittedly, I am not satisfied with the lines, and may have to reanimate to be more polished.
Isa created the title and DAC logo for the short using the seafoam idea she had proposed before Spring Break. I then animated the D’s turning into music notes. At first, I animated the notes floating away to the right of the screen, but then, the group suggested that they should float to the left of the screen. The notes were filled in like the rest of the notes I had animated, but then the group suggested that they should be hollow to match more with the D’s in the logo I was animating over, so I redid the animation again.
As the shot where one of the music notes touches Melody’s ear and it flickers was reanimated and rerendered, I rescaled the 2D animation I had done for the shot, and timed it Melody’s flickering ear.
I also polished up the textures for the Didgeridoo, and Melody’s flute, since the latter will be used as an Easter Egg in one of the other capstone shorts, Daruma.

I also continued to polish the texture for the Giraffe. The reason for this polishing is because I had previously textured them at 1K resolution, and when I raised the resolution to 4K, I found that the textures were not as clean as they appeared in 1K, so I will fix this up in the following weeks.

I will continue to work on the animation for my assigned scenes which are due on the 20th of April, and the music notes which are due on the 22nd. I will continue to polish my scenes, and animate movie notes. I will also try to finish the texture for the Giraffe. I will work away at it to meet my deadlines and have my animations be the very best that they can be for our senior capstone.
