These were my initial sketches for main character cat, Piper. When I showed them on Discord, one of my group members, Tim, said he liked, but advised me to try and make it a little more three dimensional.

From that point, I looked at three-quarter views of cats, and so far, the results were a double edge sword. While they looked more cat like, they weren't as cute as I wanted Piper to look.

So, I kept on drawing and drawing, even looking at references provided by my group members on Discord, until I had designed a head I was happy with. I also redrew the eyes after looking at an image from The Willoughbys on Netflix.

From there, I combined the head I drew with the body of a design that Angelica had done and posted on Discord. After designing, the character, I colored them with watercolor, as I had wanted to give the animation a water color aesthetic.

My group liked the design, and asked me to draw a side view and a front view of the head. I happily obliged :)

Eventually, I resigned the head after looking at a bag of Purina Kit & Kaboodle at Dollar Tree.

I also drew Piper with a sad look to see what the face would look like.

My professors, liked the silhouette of the head, and encouraged my group to look at it too.

So far, I'm pretty happy with the work I've done. I've been happy to contribute to this ambitious group project, and I can't wait to add more.
