In the weeks following the last review, I finished my animation for the scene where Melody is carried away. I found that the more movement I added to everything in the shot, like the scarecrows, the raft/stage, and Melody herself, the more the scene felt alive. I took notes from everyone I could talk to, lab monitors, Professor Brett Rutland, my groupmates, and even my family to make this look the best that it could. This was the animation I did for the scene.

However, after I finished it this animation, the group found that the textures on some of the scarecrows did not appear properly when rendering, so they asked me to remove some of the scarecrows and reanimate the scene. I am currently in the process of doing so. Then, I will animate the scene where Melody sees the storm and the scarecrows fall of the raft. I have already filmed live action reference for this scene.

I continued animating the music notes for the opening sequence, where I added notes to the shots where Melody zip lines down from the treehouse to the raft/stage. I will keep at it by animating more music notes to more scenes.

I also added to the texture for the extra character Angelica assigned me to texture. While I stayed true to her design, I also added additional details like I had done with the other characters I had textured. These details included a lighter colored under belly and lines in the irises. However, there some seams in the texture because of the separate UVs. So, I covered them up with purple spots to make the patterns appear more seamless.

In the weeks to come, I will finish the Carried Away scene and then work on the Storm scene. I will do more work on textures, music note animations, and I will work on the DAC logo for the opening. My professors are happy with the work I have done, and I will keep making them and my group proud.
